The Boar’s Nest was established in 2011. Back then, we started out with 11 members. Today, we have over 85 and as one of the largest teams at the festival, we have been able to raise over $1M for children with pediatric brain cancer. This money and donations raised, are sent out as grants to help families with the economic burden as their child is being treated.
Our mission is not only to set out and compete at Hogs for the Cause, but also be one of the top contributors to this amazing charity. We are proud to be part of Hogs for the Cause and look forward to contributing more and more, year after year.
The Boar’s Nest is registered as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, so all of your donations to us are 100% tax-deductible! Not only is it tax- deductible, but you will be helping families and children that can use your support!

Hogs for the Cause has been voted Best Local Charity Event in New Orleans for many years now, and for good reason! Hogs For the Cause is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that hosts an annual music and food festival and has become the premier nationwide source of funding for families with children fighting pediatric brain cancer.
Hogs for the Cause works with both local and national children’s hospitals, including Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Ochsner Hospital for Children, Duke Children’s Hospital, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Children’s Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, and Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, to offer monetary relief to families with children who have brain cancer.
